Purim!

Even though it has passed (this weekend)... Happy Purim! Good Purim! This is my favorite Jewish Holiday! It has the best story. It's one of the only Bible (Old Testament) stories where a woman is the hero. It's a big celebration, eating sweet stuff and partying for 2 days, to celebrate the Jews not being kilt in Persia by Haman way back when.

I used to love Purim in Hebrew School. We would have a costume party to celebrate and I would dress up as Queen Esther or Queen Vashti. (Vashti had boils on her face, so that was extra fun.) And I would eat Hamantaschen. Prune ones. Mmmmmmmmmmm.
